Meet Walter

I’m the youngest of five siblings, and I grew up in Varese, northern Italy. From my earliest days, travel was my dream—discovering local food, cultures, museum and stories wherever I went. At 19, after visiting Spain, I made my first gazpacho, inspired by local recipes and flavors. That moment sparked a lifelong passion for exploring the world and connecting with people through culture and cuisine.

My personal motto is:
“Today anyone can travel, but few do it with an open heart and mind, ready to learn and carry with them the best of the people they meet and the places they visit.”
For me, travel is about immersing in local stories, understanding traditions, and connecting deeply with people.

In 2006, after completing my studies in travel and tourism, I started my professional journey as a tour guide for a major Italian tour operator, accompanying guests around Europe. That’s where my passion for guiding people and creating meaningful experiences truly took root. In my spare time, I traveled the world and discovered new cultures—35 different countries in total.

In 2010, I joined a leading travel tech company, where I grew professionally and became a knowledge manager. Despite a successful corporate career, my love for travel never faded. This is why I also decided helping English-speaking travelers and expats settle in Italy, combining my travel expertise with practical support for navigating Italian bureaucracy.

A few years ago, I was about to move to the U.S., but during COVID, my wife and I decided to embrace the slow life of southern Italy. The pace, culture, and lifestyle of Molise captured our hearts and changed our plans.

I am naturally a problem solver and persuasive person, and Italy Semplice was born from this dream: to help people fully integrate into Italian culture without fear of paperwork or bureaucracy. Everything in Italy can be slow, but with calm, devotion, and the right guidance, any challenge can be resolved.

Now, I want to create meaningful connections, cross paths with people from all over the world, and share Italy in the most authentic way. My journey is just beginning, and I promise: from our first contact until the end of your experience, I will be 100% committed to you.
